WhatsApp is currently preparing a feature to choose how to receive voice message transcripts, allowing users to enable transcriptions for both incoming and outgoing voice notes, with on-device processing for enhanced security, ensuring a seamless and smooth user experience.

The upcoming feature will let users select from numerous language data packages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Hindi to get voice message transcripts, according to WABetaInfo.

In addition, this feature will let users decide how they want to get transcripts for their voice messages via three different options, with three different options mentioned below:

  1. The first option is "Automatically," which provides a transcript every time they get a voice message, aiming to offer enhanced convenience.
  2. Another option will allow users to activate the transcription only when they need it via a manual action. Now, click on the “Transcribe” option to expedite the process and get the text for the selected voice note.
  3. The last option provides users with the ability to opt-out to get transcripts together, providing enhanced control of the feature.

Notably, Meta-owned WhatsApp will offer improved flexibility to change these settings at any time. This feature perfectly caters to the unique and evolving requirements of users, letting them easily adjust how they interact with voice message transcriptions.

A feature to choose how to get voice message transcripts is currently under development, which will be accessible in the near future, offering a smooth experience tailored to their unique preferences.
