Famed country singer Toby Keith has left a void in the hearts of admirers with his untimely death.
Keith died Monday at the age of 62 due to stomach cancer as per a statement released on his website and social media.
"Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family," read the statement.
"He fought his fight with grace and courage, Please respect the privacy of his family at this time."
Although Keith received chemotherapy, radiation and underwent surgery for the deadly disease he could not make it.
The star made big contributions to the music world, and is best known for the 1993 hit song titled "Should've Been a Cowboy."
Toby Keith has been a songwriter since teenage, mesmerizing millions with his soulful and hit tracks.
