Britney Spears busted rumors insinuating that she has been contacting people to release a new album, saying she "will never return to the music industry."
In her recent Instagram post she also revealed that she has been a ghost writer for the past two years and had written over 20 songs.
The 42-year-old princess of pop began her lengthy caption, "Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash !!! They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry !!!"
She went on to reflect on her love for songwriting, "When I write, I write for fun or I write for other people !!! For those of you who have read my book, there’s loads that you don’t know about me …
"I’ve written over 20 songs for other people the past two years !!! I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way !!!," the Baby One More Time hitmaker spilled the beans.
The songstress, who got nominated eight times for a Grammy, also cleared the air regarding the release of her memoir, The Woman in Me, after speculations swirled that it was released without her consent, "People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that’s far from the truth."
The Toxic crooner ended her social media post with gratitude, "I’m so LOVED and blessed !!!"
The singer released her highly anticipated bombshell memoir last year, however, before the release of the book it was labeled as controversial as some excerpts from the biography made explosive claims.
In the leaked snippets, the Gimme More crooner detailed her journey from getting an abortion in the early 2000s till her experience to end her father’s conservatorship over her.
