Prince Harry has been called "petty" as he seeks an apology from his father, King Charles despite being upset about the complications among the family.

Royal author, Angela Levin shed light on why the Duke of Suseex can’t mend his strained relationship with the monarch in spite of his desire to do so.

She told Sky News Australia that rather than asking for an apology from the working royals he should be the apologising to them.

"He’s got to apologize hugely, and he’s also got to compromise, he won’t compromise–he keeps saying he wants the King and Prince William to apologize for things going right back to childhood, when William got five sausages and he got four."

Labeling Harry's stance as childish, the royal expert went on to say that, "It’s sort of pettiness as well as him feeling very badly dealt with… he wants to bring back a family argument, you have to spend time."

Reflecting on his brief visits to the UK on Queen Elizabeth’s death and King Charles' Coronation she added, "You can’t rush here, spend half an hour, and then rush away."

The author suggested that the royal should spend some time with his family in order to reconcile or even improve their relationship.

However, she further noted that Harry wanted to come back to the UK, but his wife Meghan Markle opposed his idea and has been following her path.

"It takes weeks, months even. Of course, he’s very much under Meghan’s thumb, and he will listen to what she says," Levin alluded.

For the unversed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship with the royals hit a rough patch after they stepped down from their royal duties, moved to the US and released their Netflix documentary.

Their relationship was more ruptured after Harry released his memoir, Spare, where he made several striking claims against his family.
