Playboi Carti and Travis Scott gave their fans a new year musical feast as their latest collaboration Backrooms was released on Monday, January 1.
The two teamed up to set the music scene ablaze with their new track slated to appear on the Atlanta-born singer's album titled, Music.
As per XXL Magazine, the music video it showcased a low-fidelity aesthetic, featuring La Flame and King Vamp delivering their verses in front of an SUV tank parked in a dark place which appears to be a garage.
The music video’s overall theme exuded a dark mood meanwhile the lyrics revolved around women and money.
In addition to the powerhouse collaboration, the video credited other figures from the music industry, including SEXISDEATH and Indiana420B*tch.
From the context, it appears that SEXISDEATH is the producer of the project, meanwhile, the video is directed by Indiana420B*tch.
Backrooms marked the reunion of the Goosebumps maker and the 27-year-old rapper since their collaboration on Scott’s Grammy-nominated album, Utopia, featuring the track Fe!n.
Before this new year musical piece, the Long Time rapper had dropped a slew of new tracks at the end of last year offering a glimpse of his much-anticipated album, I AM MUSIC.
On December 8, Carti teased a new tune titled, Ur The Moon on his Instagram story.
He shared a short teaser on his official social media platform.
Meanwhile, from his Opium Instagram account the Punk Monk singer surprised his fans by releasing a new song called Different Day.
Not long after, on December 14, he again dropped a new track 2024 from his pipeline, notably, it was produced by Kanye West.
