Jennie from Blackpink, the "biggest girl group in the world," officially launched her own label, OA.
The South Korean singer and rapper took to her Instagram stories on Sunday, December 24, to make the highly anticipated announcement.
Over a solid black background, she wrote in white text, "This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I'm so thankful for all the love i’ve received".
She continued, "I'm also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA".
"Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, BLACKPINK. Thank You," she concluded with a request to support her and also tagged her new venture.
An introductory post has also been shared on OA’s official Instagram handle that featured a polaroid with a collage.
The k-pop sensation can be seen posing with other models in the snapshots while sporting new black hoodies adorned with the logo of her new label.
The caption of the post read, "OA, which stands for ODD ATELIER, is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected. It is a label founded by artist JENNIE in November 2023".
Under the post, Jennie Kim’s devoted fan base rushed to congratulate her in the comment section.
One fan gushed over the pop star, "Jennie congratulations for this BIG achievement [emoji] Hoping for more success in everything you do in the years to come. we're super proud and always here to support you, WE LOVE YOU JENNIE".
Another penned heartiest greetings, "CONGRATULATIONS JENNIE!!! Your hard work and perseverance have paid off.Congratulations on your well-deserved success! You're an inspiration! Wishing you even more success in the future".
This news came only after a day the 27-year-old vocalist of the girl band renewed her exclusive contract with YG Entertainment, alongside other three members. However, updates regarding their individual contract are still vague.
