Fans of the group Mamamoo are in shock after it was announced that member Solar would be joining the military.
The message was posted to the singer’s Fromm account which stated that the account would be suspended due to her enlisting in the military on October 31.
Since then, users have been debating whether the message was a mistake from the platform or if she is actually enlisting.
“We sincerely thank all our members subscribed to ‘fromm SOLAR'. Due to the artist's enlistment in the military, we inform you that the 'fromm SOLAR' service will be temporarily suspended as of 2025. 10. 31 00:00 AM (KST). Please check the details below,” read the statement.
One user on X seemed to concur that the announcement is real, writing, “Women can serve voluntarily as officers, NCO’s, and take on other roles. Solar enlisting is a plot twist that seems to be true.”
Others seem to think that out of all the female idols, Solar seems to be the one most likely to take on such a feat, “TBH, Solar is the only female idol I would see do this for just the experience. Didn't she have a whole series where she learns and experiences new things like her getting a truck driving license?”
