Prince Andrew lands in hot water as Epstein crisis worsens
The royal family member is in deep trouble
Prince Andrew has faced major backlash over the years for his relationship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Recently, his former wife, Sarah Ferguson’s emails dating back to 2011 with the US national surfaced online, calling him her “supreme friend” and apologising for publicly criticising him, which pushed the royal family in crisis.
Before Sarah, Andrew was found in a similar situation following his long-term friendship with the convicted felon.
Now, anti-monarchy group Republic has renewed calls for a police investigation into the situation.
“There needs to be a royal Epstein inquiry NOW”, the group said in a statement.
It was reported on Sunday by The Mail that Andrew told the felon they “in this together”.
The interaction took place 12 weeks after Andrew said he had cut ties with Epstein.
The Duke of York previously told BBC in 2019 that he had cut all tied with the felon in December 2010.
The have also been reports of him being involved in Epstein’s wrongdoings.
Fergie was dropped from multiple charities following the revelation that put her royal title in jeopardy, meanwhile Andrew has already stepped down from his role.
