Britney Spears made a comeback on Instagram ahead of the release of her bombshell memoir, The Woman In Me.

The Toxic songstress left her followers curious on Instagram after deactivating her page for less than 24 hours on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Spears, 41, who has a following of 42 million, shared a cryptic post after restoring her page.

The post featured a snapshot of a heart shaped cake adorned with birthday candles and an intriguing pinky text that reads, “See you in hell.”

While the Circus maker disabled the comments section for the post, she captioned the post with two emojis, not adding much to the details.

Britney has deactivated her account multiple times in the past, however, her recent move came as a surprise as she gears up for the release of her highly anticipated memoir, which is set to hit the shelves on October 24.

Excerpts from the memoir are already making headlines as they uncover some striking revelations from her life journey including her abortion when she was dating Justin Timerlake in early 2000s.

Before vanishing from the scene, although for a brief period, the Sometimes vocalist last posted that, “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means!!! That was me then… that is the past!!!”

She expressed her discomfort with the headlines that were continuously popping before her, she added: “that’s exactly” why she quit the business four years ago.

The mother of two said that most of the book's content is two decades ago and now she has “moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here” and “establish it that way for the rest” of her life.

Spears admitted that while “some might be offended” from her forthcoming book, it has given her “closure on all things for a better future.”
