Joe Jonas alters lyrics to love ballad for Sophie Turner amid divorce filing

Joe Jonas made a notable change to the lyrics following his recent divorce filing from wife Sophie Turner, of a romantic ballad he had originally written for her. 

The song, titled Hesitate, featured on the Jonas Brothers' 2019 album Happiness Begins, which coincided with Joe and Sophie's wedding year.

In the song, Joe passionately sang, "Don't you ever say goodbye," which held special significance for the couple. 

However, during a Jonas Brothers concert in Phoenix the day after filing for divorce, Joe Jonas adjusted the lyrics, singing, "Don't be scared because I'm on her side," subtly acknowledging the change in their relationship status.

This alteration to the lyrics comes after Joe filed for divorce, citing that the marriage was "irretrievably broken." Both Joe and Sophie have expressed their intention to share custody of their children.

During the concert, the Jonas Brothers shared an emotional moment, embracing each other onstage, following Joe's announcement of his divorce. 

TMZ sources suggest that those close to the couple had been aware of underlying tensions in their relationship prior to the surprising divorce filing.

The divorce between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, who share two young daughters, Willa and "DJ," has taken a contentious turn with insiders' comments fueling a significant gender bias debate. 

Allegations suggest that differences in their lifestyles contributed to the separation, with one source stating that Sophie enjoys socializing, while Joe prefers a more home-oriented life.
