Marcia de Rousse is no more.

Marcia de Rousse, who starred alongside Kate Beckinsale in The Disappointments Room and returned as Dr. Ludwig on HBO's True Blood, has passed away.

She was 70 years old. According to her Beverly Hecht Agency agents, she passed away on September 2 following a protracted illness.

During that decade, the petite De Rousse made her television debut in the Chevy Chase and Carrie Fisher comedy Under the Rainbow from 1981.

She then made appearances in episodes of The Fall Guy and St. Elsewhere. Before being cast in True Blood as Dr. Patricia Ludwig, who treated ailments contracted by supernatural entities, she had a few parts in the 2000s.

She had three guest appearances in episodes spanning the second, fourth, and seventh seasons. She was last seen running away when Niall Brigant's name was mentioned.

In the movie The Disappointments Room, De Rousse played a local historian who tells Dana (Beckinsale), a Blacker Estate buyer, that the former owners of her new home ruthlessly put their deformed or crippled children in a secret "disappointments room" in the attic.
