Britney Spears addresses rumors she is reconciling with ailing father

Britney Spears shut down any reports hinting at reconciliation with her father amid her divorce from Sam Asghari.

Reports surfaced earlier this week alleging the Toxic singer was looking to extend an olive branch to her father Jamie Spears, under whom she was in an “abusive” conservatorship for 13 years.

Speaking to Page Six, an insider insister the rumors of reconciliation are anything but true, claiming, “Britney is on a healing journey, but a reconciliation with Jamie is not in the cards.”

According to TMZ, Britney’s father has been ill and in and out of the hospital for months due to an infection stemming from a knee replacement surgery he had nearly two decades ago.

Meanwhile, the songstress has been supported by her older brother Bryan Spears through her public divorce from Asghari.

“He’s been staying over and helping her alongside a therapist,” shared a source, noting Bryan’s presence is “a great thing for all of” the Spears family.

As for Britney’s sister, rumors of reconciliation were in the air following the pop star’s unexpected reunion with her mother Lynn in May.

It's unclear whether the trio is in talking terms.

The Womanizer hitmaker previously affirmed her father Jamie and those closest to her “should all be in jail” for their parts in the conservatorship.

“Ma’am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played huge roles in punishing me when I said ‘No’ [to going on tour] — ma’am, they should be in jail,” she told a Los Angeles judge in 2021.
