Cheems from the meme world are no more.

Balltze, better known as Cheems, the beloved dog, passed away during surgery at the age of 12 and condolences have flooded in from all over the world.

Early in the 2010s, a photo of Cheems went viral, and he gained a fan base across a variety of social media sites.

The "Cheems" character from memes is known for enjoying cheeseburgers, which it refers to as "Cheemsburger."

In many pictures of Cheems, the uneasy photo that his owner took in 2017 is used to convey their unease or frailty in certain circumstances.

Millions of people were moved by his uncomfortable expression because Cheems was so relatable.

On his official Instagram, Cheem’s owner posted, "Please don't be sad, please remember the joy that Balltze brought to the world.”

"A Shiba Inu with a round smiling face connecting you and me, he has helped many people during the pandemic and brought a lot of joy to many of you, but now his mission has completed.”

He added, "I believe he is running freely in the sky and having a lot of delicious food with his new friends. He will always be inside my heart. I hope he can continue to bring joy to everyone in the online world, that’s my only humble request."
