Wayne Brady's home is tucked away in a Malibu canyon, above a brook, along winding roads. It is a fortress of solitude with a view of the Pacific, a creek, and not much else outside high gates. Brady, 51, comments, "It's a great place to think."
He has been engaging in a lot of that. Brady, who is well recognized for both his quick wit and his wide smile, is prepared to reveal how he identifies: He declares, "I am pansexual," which means he is drawn to people of any sex or gender.
Another way to express it, according to Brady, is "Bisexual — with an open mind!"
Brady also talked about his first instance when he recognize his feelings and came out to his former wife Mandie Taketa and their 20-year-old daughter Maile.
"I just said, ‘Great.’ As I knew coming out would help him be happier," gushed Taketa.
However, his daughter Maile responded to this revelation with a simple "okay."
The Whose Line Is It Anyway host explained that to him, pan refers to "being able to be attracted across the board."
Although, Brady has also shared that how this revelation is treating him as he is currently doing "a lot of therapy" to connect with himself.
Although the How I Met My Mother star admitted he has "at times" been drawn to males, he "never dated one" because he was afraid of how society would react to the idea.
"A shame cake, just eating it every single day — and then worried about... people finding out," the actor shared. "… I've always felt like a sham because I wasn't being forthcoming with myself."
