Following Dr Chris Brown's surprising departure from Channel Ten to join Channel Seven, Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac took a jab at the celebrity vet after no one showed up to his welcome dinner.
Sam shared a photo on his Instagram featuring himself and Chris seated at a table, enjoying a pizza.
He wrote, "So disappointed with the turnout for Chris Brown's welcome to Channel Seven dinner. I expected much better for Australia's 2nd favorite TV Vet."
The post captured the attention of Chris' former Channel Ten co-star, Miguel Maestre, who commented, "I wasn't invited."
This exchange between Sam and Chris shed light on the lighter side of the industry as colleagues share jokes and banter.
Celebrity vet Dr Chris Brown has made headlines with his recent move to Channel Seven, signing a highly lucrative two-year contract worth over $1m per year.
His inaugural role at Seven will be hosting the red carpet at the prestigious 2023 Logie Awards.
In addition, Brown is coming to a new program called Dream Home, a thrilling renovation series that aims to rival Channel Nine's acclaimed show, The Block.
"To be able to bring my world of animals to life in an original, adventurous, and breathtaking way truly excites me," Brown stated.
He further added, "I can't wait for the world's wildlife and the search for Australia's best Dream Home to land in our lounge rooms in 2024."
He first entered the world of television in 2003 as a presenter on Seven's Harry's Practice, a role that earned him a Logie nomination for Most Popular New Talent.
