Liam Payne death case faces another twist as a new voice has entered the conversation saying the singer might still be alive if hotel staff had reacted differently.
The 22-year-old Ezequiel David Pereyra was identified as the former hotel cleaner who was accused of providing Payne with drugs.
The accused hotel employee now opens up on his side of the story while speaking from Marcos Paz prison.
The accused cleaner and alleged drug dealer of Payne shifted the blame for the star’s death entirely to the CasaSur Palermo hotel management.
Payne passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 31 after allegedly falling from the balcony of his third-floor room at the Buenos Aires hotel.
Toxicology reports later confirmed the presence of multiple substances including antidepressant in his body.
Pereyra insists the real failure happened hours earlier inside the hotel. “They let him do whatever he wanted because he was making them triple the money,” he said.
According to Pereyra, the singer initially fainted in the lobby after which the hotel staff carried him to his room and left him on his own showcasing negligence instead of calling for emergency services.
“The biggest mistake was not calling an ambulance when he passed out in the lobby. They carried him to his room like a sack of potatoes. If they’d acted differently, Liam could have been saved,” Pereyra claimed.
He further revealed that the hotel only reached out to police after leaving the singer unattended which “By then it was too late,” he said.
Moreover, he denied the charges and accusations of acting as his drug dealer. “I’m not a dealer, I was told to do whatever Liam wanted. The hotel knew what was happening,” he stated.
The investigation into Payne’s death remains ongoing as new claims continue to surface.
