Treat Williams' 'shattered' daughter mourns loss of actor after tragic passing

Treat Williams’ family is having a hard time coming to terms with the actor’s unexpected passing.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the late actor’s daughter Elinor "Ellie" Williams posted a throwback photo of her father and wrote: "This is pain I have never felt."

"I am absolutely shattered," she shared. "Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and kept our family in your hearts during this terrible heartbreak."

Williams died a tragic death on Monday, June 12, after a motorcycle crash in Vermont. He was 71.

The Hair actor is survived by his wife Pam Van Sant and their two children, Ellie, 25, and Gill, 31.

Following his death, Williams’ family released a heartbreaking statement to Deadline and said: "Treat was full of love for his family, for his life, and for his craft, and was truly at the top of his game in all of it.

"To all his fans, please know that Treat appreciated all of you and please continue to keep him in your hearts and prayers."

The Golden Globe nominee had an illustrious career that took off in the late ‘70s when he starred as George Berger in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Hair.
