Cannes Film Festival 2023 is just around the corner. This year's edition of the eagerly anticipated annual film festival will run from May 16 to May 27. The 76th Cannes Film Festival's jury president, Ruben Stlund, has been named. Triangle of Sadness, the Swedish director's 2022 film, had a nearly 10-minute standing ovation on May 21 at Cannes the previous year.

The satirical black comedy ultimately took home the Palme d'Or, the competition's top honour.

Actor Paul Dano from The Fabelmans, French director-screenwriter Julia Ducournau, Brie Captain Marvel    Larson, French actor Denis Ménochet, Zambian-Welsh screenwriter-director Rungano Nyoni, Afghan director-writer Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian director-screenwriter Damián Szifrón, and Moroccan director-actress Maryam Touzani will be on the jury panel for the Main competition category.

Jeanne du Barry, a French biographical drama film, will open Cannes 2023. In his first movie since winning the well-reported defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, three-time Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp plays King Louis XV of France.

The Cannes 2023 opening film is directed, written, produced, and stars French superstar Mawenn. Elemental, an animated comedy from Pixar-Disney, will close up the occasion. The date of release is set for June 16.

The film festival, which is held on the French Riviera, is typically open to accredited individuals like journalists and professionals in the film industry. According to the VIP Concierge website, persons with badges to the festival or parallel sections can purchase tickets for $6,100 to $25,000 each.

The various forms of accreditation include:

Festival Accreditation: This complimentary stamp entitles the bearer to entry to official events, screenings, and locations such as the Riviera, Village International, and major hotels.

Board members and staff of businesses with ties to the film industry are eligible for market accreditation. Each attendee will pay about 300€ ($326.30 at the time of writing).

Press accreditation: A particular journalist has better access to the more readers a particular newspaper reaches.

Accreditation by Cinéphiles: The City of Cannes-Film Festival partnership allows locals to view officially selected films and is the greatest choice for educational groups and movie buffs. Because the screenings don't take place within the venue, filmmakers shouldn't choose this.

The Directors' Fortnight and the Cinéma de la Plage (Beach Cinema) are showing films that are open to the general public starting at 9.30 p.m. It is, however, a first-come, first-served feature.

In addition, the Martin Scorsese-directed Killers of the Flower Moon and Harrison Ford's final Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, will be shown at Cannes 2023.

Cannes 2023 will be held from May 16 to May 27, 2023.
