Kardashian, Jenner 'uninvited' from Met Gala 2023

The 2023 Met Gala may be missing its most awaited guests at it is reported that the Kardashian Jenner family will not be invited at the glamorous event.

According to Page Six, Vogue boss Anna Wintour is working on downsizing the guest list for the annual fete which reportedly will not include the famous family.

As of yet, Vogue has not commented on the guest list.

However, sources close to the Kardashian, Jenner clan dispelled the rumours and said that nothing of the sort happened. 

Kim made her Met Gala red carpet debut in 2013 with her then ex-husband Kanye West. 

In 2019 she tweeted about her first time attending the event and emotionally recalled: "I didn't know anyone [and] I’m sure no one wanted me there." 

She revealed that after the event, "I went home [and] cried after of insecurity."

However, her sisters Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian made attended the gala for the first time last year, which also marked it as the first time the entire reality TV family was present on the red carpet together, including the family's matriarch Kris Jenner as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Met Gala Theme 2023

The theme of the 2023 Met Gala will be honouring the late courtier Karl Lagerfeld.

Titled Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, the theme will zero in "on the designer’s stylistic vocabulary as it was expressed in through lines—aesthetic themes that appear time and again—in his fashions from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019."

Max Hollein, who is serving at Marina Kellen French Director of The Met, said that "Karl Lagerfeld was one of the most captivating, prolific, and recognisable forces in fashion and culture, known as much for his extraordinary designs and tireless creative output as for his legendary persona."
