Amy Poehler and Adam Scott humorously celebrate reunion.
At the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Amy Poehler and Adam Scott shared a Parks and Recreation reunion on stage.
The two made jokes about Adam's role as a serious actor in his Apple TV+ series Severance, which is up for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, while they handed out the award for excellent performance by a female actor in a comedy series.
"Before we start, I just want to say I'm thrilled to be here," Scott, 49, told his former costar.
"Yeah well it's pretty hard to tell Adam, you're on a hit drama so you're very dramatic now," Poehler, 51, teased.
Scott, who is tonight's ceremony's nominee for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series, responded in faux indignation, "Amy how dare you?"
Poehler continued, "I have an idea, why don't you go smoke cigarettes and wear a leather jacket with all the drama people?" before suggesting that he stop hanging out with his old comedy friends.
He said, "You know what, maybe I will because it's impossible to get a real moment from any of you comedy types." as if he were grateful for her proposal.
The two could not leave the stage without quoting Poehler's Leslie Knope, who appeared on the popular NBC sitcom from 2009 to 2015.
"Wow that hurts. You know what?" she said, and he responded, "What?"
Poehler replied, "Your mother's butt!
Scott concluded, "You see!" before presenting the award.
For Galentine's Day earlier this month, Poehler reconnected with the Parks and Recreation women.
Rashida Jones commemorated the unofficial holiday on February 13 by posting a selfie with her former co-stars and pals Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, and Kathryn Hahn.
"Happy Galentine's Day from the original Gals," the 46-year-old actress captioned the photo.
The women in the photograph are huddled together and wearing winter clothing.
