To infinity and beyond!

Tim Allen has confirmed his return to the Toy Story franchise as the voice actor of the cartoon character Buzz Lightyear.

The 69-year-old actor took to Twitter to share that he was returning as the voice behind the space ranger in the upcoming fifth installment of the animated film.

"See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond," Tim wrote alongside a picture of Buzz.

The announcement follows Allen’s replacement in the Lightyear spinoff last year, in which Chris Evans voiced the character.

On Wednesday, Bob Iger, CEO of Walt Disney Corporation announced the new Toy Story film, along with sequels to Frozen and Zootopia.

“Today I'm so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia," he said.

Bob added: "We'll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises."
