1923: Is Jacob Dutton Dead?

Episode 3 of the Yellowstone prequel series ended with a cliffhanger no one saw coming.

The latest episode of 1923 season 01 ended with the viewers wondering whether Jacob Dutton, played by Harrison Ford, is dead.

The patriarch of the Dutton ranch was left gravely injured after a gun battle late in the episode and in the closing minutes, his wife Cara, played by Helen Mirren, wrote to Spencer telling him that his brother was killed.

However, the fate of Dutton remained unknown till the end of the episode, which will hopefully be revealed in the next episode, slated for premiere on Paramount+ Sunday, Jan. 8.

Created by Taylor Sheridan, the events of 1923 take place 40 years after the calamities of 1883, featuring another generation of the Duttons, fighting to survive “drought, disease, and economic upheaval in the wild Mountain West.”
