Luke Grimes is here with a track.
On the popular Western TV series Yellowstone, Luke Grimes plays the prominent part of Kayce Dutton, but outside of acting, he also makes a living as a singer-songwriter.
Grimes gave a sneak peek of a brand-new song titled "No Horse to Ride" on Sunday, December 11.
Acoustic and lonely steel guitars add plenty of twang to the song's instrumentation. Grimes uses lyrical images to sing about how lonely he'd feel if his love partner left, which also highlights his aching voice.
"I'd be driving in the dark with no headlights on / On a one-way highway that didn't go home / I'd have to borrow from the devil just to pay my dues / I'd have nothing worth having if I didn't have you," he sings in the verse.
The song exemplifies Grimes' music's ultra-country, Western-influenced approach, and the post drew enthusiastic comments from fans and other country musicians.
Grimes stated in the description that the music will be made available on Friday, December 16.
