Jimmy Fallon's uber driver freaked out by Dolly Parton's phone call
Chad said " Was that Dolly Parton. This is the greatest drive of my life"
Jimmy Fallon and singer Dolly Parton recalled a light-hearted moment when the late night host's uber driver became totally star-struck during his Tennessee visit.
It was in summer season, Fallon travelled to Dollywood, a theme park co-owned by the country music star in the Knoxville area, to film his appearance in the "Dolly Parton Mountain Magic Christmas" special.
At the same time, he had also planned on stepping into Parton's hometown Sevierville but had forgotten to book a driver in advance so he then connected with an uber driver named Chad. When the pair met the driver told Fallon he needed time to collect himself a little.
During an episode of The Tonight Show, Fallon revealed some insights from the day, "I get in the car, and he goes, 'I didn't know it was you, and I've never met a celebrity. This is just bizarre for me, so just give me a second."
However, when Parton called Fallon on the phone to welcome him, Chad became overwhelmed and could not contain his sentiments.
"Chad, stay on the road, buddy," the driver then responded saying, "Was that Dolly Parton on the phone? This is the greatest drive of my life!"
