Kate Hudson has 'blasting fun' at Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday bash

For Kate Hudson, the birthday celebration for Leonardo DiCaprio was a blast and "much fun."

The 43-year-old actress said to Extra at the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery screening in Los Angeles on Monday that she thought DiCaprio's 48th birthday celebration in Beverly Hills on Friday was "a needed bash."

"It was so much fun," Hudson said. "I've known Leo since I was 17. … It was a blast. It was a needed bash."

At his this year's birthday celebration, DiCaprio invited his parents, George DiCaprio and Irmelin Indenbirken, as well as pals from the entertainment business Rebel Wilson, Bradley Cooper, Rami Malek, Tobey Maguire, Ashton Kutcher, and Tobey Maguire. Rich Paul, a sports agent, LeBron James and Savannah were also present.

"It was a great party with music, drinks and catered food. Everyone seemed to have a great time," a source told People magazine of the party over the weekend.

DiCaprio and Hudson are longtime friends and cherish their friendship every then and now.
