Metro Boomin has cleared the air on the reason behind his album postponement.
The 29-year-old rapper took to Twitter Thursday to share that his upcoming album Heroes & Villains will no longer be released on November 04.
“I couldn’t get all the samples on my album cleared in time for next week so I’m dropping on Dec 2nd now,” he wrote on Twitter.
He went on to explain that his decision to push it back came so he could get “enough time to make sure you all get this masterpiece as intended. I promise it’s worth the wait!!”
It would’ve been speculated from fans that his reason for the delay may have come after Drake and 21 Savage’s joint album release date was pushed back to November 04 after his producer got COVID.
Hence, the No Heart rapper clarified it in his postscript, writing, “P.S. I would NEVER move my album date because of anyone else.”
