Justin Bieber has postponed upcoming shows of his Justice World tour, citing mental health issues.

The Yummy singer broke the news via a lengthy statement on his Instagram story.

“Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed,” the statement read. “As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North American leg of the Justice Tour.”

He explained that although he resumed his European tour after “resting” and “consulting” with his doctors, he realized the “six shows” he performed took a “real toll” on him.

“This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil,” he continued. “After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now.”

The Baby singer then went on to announce his break from touring “for the time being.”

“I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better,” he added.

He ended the statement by thanking the fans for “prayers and support throughout all of this.”

Speaking to TMZ, a source close to the pop star corroborated the reason for his break and revealed, “Justin's been struggling in the last few years and it has taken its toll. Another reason is his recent health scare which partially paralyzed his face.”
