Vince Gill pays tribute to his wife Amy Grant while performing

Vince Gill and his daughter Corrina Grant Gill sing for Amy Grant, as she recovers from a bicycle accident.

Gill's 2019 single "When My Amy Prays" was performed by the two toward the end of his performance on Thursday at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

When Corrina, 21, was singing along on the third night of Gill's four-night residency commemorating the venue's 130th anniversary, the words were tragically modified to "when my mama prays."

Early on in the performance, a tearful Corrina started to cry as the audience applauded her. I'm exactly like my dad, she exclaimed.

The heartbreaking incident happened during a song in which Gill expresses his delight in his wife's steadfast Christian faith.

Two years prior to the bicycle accident, Grant had open-heart surgery to correct a congenital abnormality for a condition known as a partial anomalous pulmonary venous return.
