Kate Hudson shows off her engagement ring at Met Gala

Kate Hudson's Met Gala look featured a special accessory.

The 42-year-old actor, who announced her engagement to Dany Fujikawa just hours before the big event, flashed her engagement ring dressed in head-to-toe pink.

Kate walked the red carpet in a pink sequin bra top, maxi skirt, and floor-length feather coat by Michael Kors. She accessorized her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a matching baby pink clutch.

"Kate's look was inspired by her pink dress," her makeup artist told PEOPLE. "I wanted the look to be classic 'American girl,' which Kate is and Michael does so well .... wanted to play with the pink hue, but make it deeper, so I chose cranberry."
