Matt Damon has shared a behind-the-scenes moment with Tom Holland from the sets of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic The Odyssey.
The actor revealed that he misunderstood one of Holland’s actions during filming and believed it was an emotional scene between their characters.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he recalled a funny incident from the film’s production.
He said, “There's a moment where we see each other, and I'm on a boat and he's on the shore.”
He added, “And I saw him, and I was kind of on this boat all day, separated from the crew, and he was putting his hand on his heart. And so, I started to do it, too.”
Later, he found out that Holland was actually struggling with his costume rather than acting, saying,
"And, at the end of the day, we reconnected and I was like, 'Chris told you to do that? Put your hand on your heart?' And he goes, 'Matt, my costume was choking me!'"
Moreover, he opened up about filming The Odyssey, calling it the toughest movie he has worked on and praising Nolan’s approach of using real locations and practical filmmaking.
