Zendaya is happy to be a part of upcoming Shrek 5 movie.
The American actress recently shares her honest thoughts about Shrek franchise while attending The Odyssey premiere in New York City on July 14.
Zendaya reveals she’s a “fan” of Shrek movies which is why she decided not to let go of this opportunity.
“When I got the call, I said it ‘yes’,” she tells Entertainment Tonight at the NYC premiere.
Elaborating on why she instantly agreed to do this movie, Zendaya shares that she “grew up with those movies and they are my favourites... I watch them all the time as they are my comfort”.
It’s iconic,” states the Euphoria actress, adding that the voices in the movie also encouraged her to grab this chance immediately.
To note, Zendaya will voice Felicia, the teenage daughter of Shrek (Mike Myers) and Fiona (Cameron Diaz), in the highly anticipated movie.
In addition to Zendaya, Cameron and Mike, Eddie Murphy will also reprise his hit Donkey role in the fifth installment.
Meanwhile, the actress is very busy with her major movie projects this year, one of them is Christopher Nolan directed epic movie, set to release in theatres on July 17. Other movie is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will hit cinemas on July 31.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation, the upcoming installment is slated to release in theatres worldwide on June 30, 2027.
