Zendaya has admitted she’s counting down the days until she can finally watch The Odyssey.
The 29-year-old actress revealed she hasn’t yet seen the finished version of Sir Christopher Nolan’s eagerly awaited fantasy epic, but says she’s every bit as excited as fans to experience it on the big screen.
Speaking in a behind-the-scenes IMAX feature, Zendaya confessed she can’t wait to step into the cinema and be swept away by Nolan’s vision.
“As a fan I’m so excited to see this film,” she said.
“I cannot wait to sit in an IMAX theatre and completely be lost in this world that he’s created.”
She also praised Nolan and acclaimed cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, insisting the pair have achieved things on the production that have “quite literally never been done before”.
Her fiancée and co-star, Tom Holland, was equally full of praise for the Oscar-winning filmmaker.
The 30-year-old actor said that Nolan goes “the extra distance” to make every moment feel authentic on set.
He believes the IMAX format will leave audiences feeling as though they are part of the adventure, adding that viewers will be “really immersed” in the film’s breathtaking world.
Leading man Matt Damon, who plays the legendary Odysseus, described The Odyssey as the biggest production of his career.
The Hollywood star also dismissed any suggestion of celebrity privileges during filming, revealing the cast and crew endured the same gruelling conditions together.
