Anna Faris has revealed that her hit podcast became a lifeline during one of the toughest periods of her life after her split from ex-husband Chris Pratt.

The 49-year-old actress has opened up about the heartbreak she experienced after the pair’s marriage ended.

She admitted that the intense public scrutiny surrounding their breakup left her craving a life away from Hollywood’s spotlight.

Speaking candidly, the Scary Movie star said she was “feeling sad” and struggled with the attention that came with being one half of one of Hollywood’s most-loved couples. 

While Anna acknowledged that fame has shaped her after more than two decades in the industry.

Moreover, she confessed that the constant scrutiny was difficult to handle.

During that challenging chapter, Anna found comfort in her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, which she launched in 2015. 

What began as a small passion project quickly became a safe space where she could connect with listeners away from the pressures of celebrity life.

The actress described the show as her own “secret community”, explaining that she wanted an outlet beyond Hollywood where genuine conversations could flourish. 

Although she rarely shared intimate details about her personal life on the podcast, she said simply knowing she could open up if needed was incredibly comforting.

She also reflected on her lifelong desire to connect with people, recalling how she once struck up deeply personal conversations with strangers on ski lifts. 

That same curiosity and openness became the heart of her podcast.

Looking back now, the House Bunny favourite says creating the show helped her heal and even inspired thoughts about a quieter future focused on writing. ]

Instead, she finds herself busier than ever and overwhelmed with gratitude for the support she continues to receive from fans.

Despite their split, the former couple have remained close friends and devoted co-parents to their son Jack. 

Both have since moved on, with Chris marrying Katherine Schwarzenegger and Anna tying the knot with cinematographer Michael Barrett in 2021.
