Tyra Banks is filing a lawsuit against Netflix over how she was depicted in Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

The TV personality took Netflix to court on June 13, claiming producers edited her interview in a way that created a false impression of what she actually said.

According to legal filings, the former hosts’ three-and-a-half-hour interview was cut down to just 16 minutes in the series.

"Tyra Banks participated in the Netflix documentary series America's Next Top Model ('ANTM') because she believed viewers deserved a candid conversation about the show's legacy—its successes and its shortcomings," the lawsuit states.

The plaintiff stated that her responses about past controversies were cut, forming what she calls a “false and defamatory narrative.”

Additionally, the lawsuit focuses on former contestant Shandi Sullivan as a key concern, alleging the series suggested the television personality failed to remember her story, despite footage showing her saying, “I do remember her story.”

Furthermore, Banks is seeking financial damages for lost opportunities, financial setbacks, and emotional suffering.

However, Netflix and the filmmakers had not made any public comment on the lawsuit.
