Pop icon Olivia Rodrigo has opened up about what took place offstage ahead of her Glastonbury set.
Speaking in a recent chat, the singer admitted she came close to experiencing an anxiety attack just before her performance.
In a new BBC interview, the songstress described intense nerves backstage, recalling she doubted whether she was ready for one of the world’s biggest festival stages, saying,
"I remember having like a near anxiety attack in the bathroom, like, 'How am I going to do this? I don't know if I'm ready."
She continued, "But something overcame me the second I stepped on stage and started singing. I felt, like, totally calm and so in my element."
Moreover, she added, "I'm not very spiritual or religious, but it's moments like that where I feel music is just so magical that you just can't really describe it."
Notably, Rodrigo’s Glastonbury 2025 set earned strong praise from NME, which awarded it four stars and described it as a performance that will “stand the test of time,” as she closed the Pyramid Stage on June 29.
