Chrissy Teigen shares heartbreaking tribute to late father

Chrissy Teigen has turned to social media to share a deeply emotional tribute, revealing the moment she learned of her father Ron Teigen Sr.’s passing.

On Thursday, June 11, the Cravings author took to her official Instagram handle to spoke about the grief of losing loved one.

“Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one,” she wrote in her caption.

She went on to recall the routine moments that unfolded before the news, adding,

“All the same things happened. Hurried shower. Picked up stuffing from the dog toys. Answered some emails. Avoided some. Laughed with my friends and put on a pretty dress for a friend's birthday. Took a video. How cute is this dress!” before writing, “And then my dad just like…f---ing died.”

The TV personality also admitted she once believed she was prepared for the loss, saying she had often thought about it because her father had always been an “old dad.”

The post also featured a video of Ron Teigen Sr. joking at a dinner table, which Teigen later said reflected his humour and love for family moments.

Furthermore, she revealed she had recently written him a letter expressing gratitude for everything he had done for her growing up.

She wrapped up her tribute, writing, "God I love you so much. I will talk to you every night. Thank you for being such a great dad. Until we complain again."
