Matt Damon reveals how his fatherhood impacted his 'ruthless' work

Matt Damon has opened up about how he deals with different situations and how being a father has helped him.

The American star is one of the highest grossing actors of all time and is also a father of four.

Opening up to GQ Magazine about his long-term profession, he explained how the job's nature is "uncertain" and "ruthless."

He stated, "I think about it a lot, especially as my kids are getting older: really trying to be here now, And it’s hard for me to do that."

The 55-year-old added that he thinks it's hard for him to manage it all because of his nature, "It also has to do with this career where you’re always trying to figure out what’s ahead, because it’s such an uncertain business and a pretty ruthless one,"

Matt then explained how fatherhood has made an impact on his acting, "“I feel like fatherhood has made my job a lot easier in a lot of ways,"

The Odyssey star stated that with experience he can feel new different emotions which have made it much easier for him now to explore those emotions and use it for his characters.

"All those emotions that I used to have to reach for are just readily accessible. I don’t have to twist myself into knots to find something—it’s just sitting right there all the time." the Academy Award winner concluded.

For the unversed, Matt has four children, all daughters, namely 28-year-old Alexia Barroso, 20-year-old Isabella, 18-year-old Gia Zavala, and 16-year-old Stella Damon with wife, Luciana Barroso.
