Daniel Radcliffe recently shared his experience of attending Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in latest appearance.
Speaking at the 79th annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7, the actor shared that he went to see John Lithgow on Broadway and enjoyed his portrayal.
As per People magazine, he stated, “I went to see his show the other day and he's incredible in it.”
“And I hope I get to cheer him when he wins tonight,” he quipped, and Lithgow won his third Tony Award in the category of best actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Roald Dahl in Giant, beating Radcliffe in the same category.
The star also revealed that he briefly went backstage after the show, where the two exchanged warm words and discussed the production.
“I got to go backstage, and he was so lovely. We didn't really talk about details particularly. But he was telling me about how well it's going and how fond he is of the kids,” the Jungle actor said.
It is pertinent to mention, Lithgow is set to play Albus Dumbledore in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation, while Radcliffe previously portrayed Harry Potter across all eight films in the franchise.
