Heidi Klum has spoken of her pride after being named the newest ambassador for UNICEF USA.
The 53-year-old supermodel said the role has deepened her commitment to helping vulnerable children across the globe.
The television star has worked alongside the charity since 2011, but she admitted becoming an official ambassador marks a special new chapter in her long-standing partnership with the organisation.
Speaking about the honour, Heidi said she feels “incredibly honoured” and described it as a privilege to use her platform to support children in need and champion their right to a safe, healthy and hopeful future.
The mum-of-four, who shares children Leni, 22, Henry, 20, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, revealed that some of her experiences on UNICEF missions have had a profound impact on her own outlook as a parent.
Recalling visits to India and Haiti, Germany's Next Topmodel star spoke emotionally about witnessing heartbreaking conditions faced by families struggling to survive.
One memory that has stayed with her was seeing premature babies in Haiti wrapped in plastic bags and cared for under desk lamps due to a lack of proper medical resources.
The former America's Got Talent judge said the trips reminded her how fortunate many families are and reinforced a simple truth shared by parents everywhere, wanting their children to feel safe, loved and protected.
