Rod Steward, who was set to embark on his residency, Encore Shows in Las Vegas, canceled the shows a few hours before and has concerned his fans.
The Irish singer has a record of canceling his shows previously as he had suffered from a health crisis at that time as well.
Now breaking the silence on the topic, he also issued a statement with the official announcement for his lovers.
He stated, "My apologies to my family of fans. I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection."
The Maggie May singer added, "I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer.”
This comes after a note from the management was circulated, "Following his doctor’s advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully cancelled his performances,"
Notably, the crooner was set to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30.
It was also revealed that the 81-year-old will be returning to the stage on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026.
It is to be noted that the performer, who has been on his One Last Time farewell tour since 2024, will bid his fans goodbye with his last show in 2027 as he will retire after that.
