Kenneth Iwamasa, Matthew Perry’s former assistant, is due to be sentenced in the ketamine case linked to the actor’s death.

According to recent updates, Iwamasa will appear in court on Wednesday over his connection to the Friends star’s death case, after pleading guilty earlier to conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

The TMZ reports revealed that he could receive up to 15 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the officials mentioned that Iwamasa gave the late actor ketamine many times in the weeks before his death, although he had no medical training, they also allege additional doses were given on October 28, 2023.

The court documents stated that the deceased was later found unresponsive in his jacuzzi after Iwamasa left to run errands and returned to discover him dead.

On the day of the incident, prosecutors say Perry allegedly asked him to prepare the jacuzzi and to “shoot me up a big one” before receiving additional doses.

However, the authorities further alleged that after Perry’s death, Iwamasa attempted to destroy evidence and misled investigators during questioning, including the removal of drug related items.

For the unfamiliar, Iwamasa had worked with Perry for years and became his full time assistant in 2022. He is the final defendant in the case awaiting sentencing.
