Chris Hughes, JoJo Siwa still going strong despite long distance love

Chris Hughes has opened up about his long-distance romance with JoJo Siwa

The 33-year-old reality star insisted that the miles between them are “not as tricky as people think”.

Hughes, who met the 23-year-old US singer on Celebrity Big Brother last year, says regular flights between the UK and America have helped keep their relationship strong.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he explained that although people assume the distance is difficult, it has been manageable thanks to their ability to travel freely and often.

He said, “It is tricky, but not as tricky as people think. We see each other whenever we can, whether I’m in the US or she’s in the UK.”

The TV show host added that he enjoys spending time with Siwa’s family and friends in America and often joins her for relaxed days, including an unexpected love of golf.

The couple will be apart for their one-year anniversary this week, although Hughes has just returned from the US after celebrating Siwa’s birthday.

He revealed the pair spent several days together golfing and relaxing, with Blurt actress now taking up the sport, much to his delight.

The songstress has also been thinking about the future after attending her brother’s wedding, admitting it gave her “wedding vibes” and sparked conversations about marriage.

She said the relationship is still new but “the best year ever”, adding that marriage will come when the time feels right for both of them.
