French actor Pierre Deny, recognized for French television and Emily in Paris, has passed away after ALS.
Based on latest developments, the deceased daughters confirmed the sad news in a release shared with media, saying, "It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny."
The statement added, "Which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS,” according to Daily Mail.
For the unversed, ALS is a condition where nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord break down over time.
This results in increasing muscle weakness and loss of movement control.
In Emily in Paris, Deny played Louis de Léon, the CEO of JVMA fashion brand, during seasons three and four with Lily Collins.
Meanwhile, his character was also written as the father of Nicholas de Léon, played by Paul Forman, tying him into key storylines involving Emily’s close circle.
