Matthew Perry’s heartbroken mum has unleashed a devastating attack on the man she says was supposed to protect her son.

She claimed that the actor “paid the price” for placing his trust in him.

In a searing victim impact statement, Suzanne Morrison has taken aim at former assistant Kenneth Iwamasa who has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine linked to the Friends star’s tragic death in October 2023.

For the unversed, Perry was found dead at his Los Angeles home after a drug overdose, sending shockwaves around the world and leaving fans devastated.

Now his mother has broken her silence in explosive fashion, insisting Iwamasa was meant to be her son’s “companion and guardian” during his battle with addiction.

Instead, she claims, he became part of the very danger he was supposed to prevent.

In documents obtained by PEOPLE, Morrison alleges Iwamasa repeatedly supplied and injected Perry with illegal drugs despite what she called the “obvious risk” to his life.

She said he arranged one source of drugs after another and continued even when it was clear things were spiralling out of control.

She also made a chilling claim that after 17 Again star’s death, Iwamasa attempted to stay in contact with the grieving family.

But Morrison said it felt deeply uncomfortable, as though he was trying to present himself as someone who cared.

Describing Perry as her “heart and soul,” she said no sentence would ever bring true closure, admitting the pain will stay with her for life.

Iwamasa, who has pleaded guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors, faces sentencing on May 27 and could receive up to 15 years behind bars, though a shorter term is being recommended.
