Mindy Kaling is opening up about why marriage is no longer something she feels she needs in her life.
During her recent conversation, the Running Point creator reflected on the personal and professional goals she once hoped to achieve.
In an interview with Bustle, she stated, “Professionally, I always wanted to write on Saturday Night Live and be a cast member on Saturday Night Live. Personally, I wanted to be married. Neither of those things happened.”
When told those milestones could still happen in the future, she admitted that her perspective has changed over time.
“That's interesting,” she replied. “Those things could happen, but I think I don't necessarily need them anymore, maybe, which is a nice feeling.”
For the unversed, Kaling and Novak have remained close friends over the years, with the actor also serving as the godfather to her three children.
