Doja Cat, who is going on a break, revealed that it has become a necessity for her to leave music right now.
The American singer is currently embarking on her extensive Tour Ma Vie World Tour, which kicked off on November 18, 2025.
Speaking with Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie, the performer revealed that she could lose herself if she doesn't stop now.
She stated, "I think I need time to do nothing in order to do anything,"
The 30-year-old added, "I really truly believe that I could lose myself if I don’t, like, get back to making music, And I cannot make music right now. Like, I literally cannot. I can't do the thing that I'm here because of, you know?"
The global superstar, who has been working for 14 years now, has disclosed that she has been severely burnt out for the past couple of years.
She continued, "I'm so busy doing, like, fashion, Like, not that I don't like that stuff, I love fashion, but I don’t make music anymore. And I really think that that's like paramount to the whole thing."
It is to be noted that Doja is going on a long three-year hiatus after she wraps up her tour on December 1, 2026.
