Jessica Simpson breaks silence on sitting apart from kids on plane

Jessica Simpson is giving context after her viral plane run-in with Nick Lachey painted her in a negative light.

The Love is Blind alum had previously dished on a talk show that the Employee of the Month actress was seated in first class while her children flew economy during their six-hour flight to Hawaii.

Recently, photogs caught up to the With You singer while she was at LAX and asked her about her exes’ claims about her kids, namely, Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 14, Ace Knute, 12, and Birdie Mae, seven.

“My mom bought those tickets,” Jessica stated, “It was my mom’s treat for us to go to Hawaii,” she added.

One of the paparazzo then asked her if they would have been beside her if she had brought the tickets to which she answered, “Of course!”

Jessica refrained from saying more about her run-in with her famous ex, Nick, but the latter had revealed that the encounter was strangely okay and alright, given the pair had not interacted with each other in two decades.

The Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica stars were married for four years, from 2002 to 2006, and the two singers even sang duets together before their marriage.
