Nicholas Galitzine shares secret behind his action scenes

Nicholas Galitzine has revealed the one thing he was craving most after wrapping the gruelling shoot for Masters of the Universe.

The 31-year-old actor transformed his body to play the mighty He-Man in the fantasy blockbuster.

He endured months of strict dieting and punishing workouts to achieve the superhero physique. 

But once filming finally ended, Nicholas admitted he was more than ready to ditch the clean eating.

Speaking to People, the star laughed as he recalled diving headfirst into a massive cheat meal.

“I was so mentally ready to eat something disgusting,” he confessed. 

“I had a combination of sushi and pizza, and I was like, ‘Give it. Give it all to me.’”

And it seems The Idea of You actor had permission to fully indulge too. 

He revealed that his next director actually encouraged him to stop training and pile into comfort food because they didn’t want him looking like the ultra-muscular He-Man in his upcoming project.

“Food is everything to me,” he admitted. “It truly is.”

But while the post-filming feast may have been the reward, the hard work behind the scenes was no joke. 

Purple Hearts star said he became obsessed with impressing his stunt double, Jonny James, while preparing for the action-heavy movie.

He trained relentlessly for months to perfect He-Man’s movements and make the fight scenes feel believable.

“I was constantly in search of his validation,” he admitted. 

“He’s such a bad***.”

It's worth noting that Masters of the Universe also stars Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, Kristen Wiig, Jared Leto and Idris Elba.
