Jack Antonoff is taking to social media to share his unfiltered thoughts on the use of Artificial Intelligence to create art.
The Bleachers singer used strong language to condemn the use of generative AI in art forms like music and other art.
In an Instagram post he wrote“What we do has become and ancient ritual. You don’t have to write music, you don’t have to record it and you don’t have to bring out the band and play it. And yet for us, the idea of optimizing what we do is a complete miss of the entire point of what compels us in the first place.”
The 13-time Grammy winner added that him, his band and everyone he knows has not attempted to make their work quicker or easier and have never felt frustration over momentary setbacks of randomness and magic required to create art.
“So to everyone who is gassed up about the new ways you can fake making art, by all means drive right off that cliff, we’re genuinely happy to see you go. Generations coming will be engaging in the ancient ritual of writing, recording and performing as it comes to us from God,” Jack added.
The producer went on to call them ‘Godless wh*res’ and slammed them, adding that those who create AI slop will expose themselves with the quality of their product.
