Harrison Ford has opened up about a wild chapter of his youth.

The 83-year-old Hollywood icon admitted that he was once “squandering his life” before acting turned everything around.

The Star Wars legend, while speaking to more than 14,000 students at Arizona State University, reflected on his college days with brutal honesty.

He said that he was caught up in “riotous living” and making “not good choices” that left his grades in serious trouble.

The Indiana Jones actor, needing an easy credit, signed up for a drama class expecting little more than a simple pass.

“I thought I’d be working at the box office or building sets,” he told the crowd, but fate had other ideas.

Instead of an easy win, he found himself captivated by the stage and unexpectedly landing roles in student productions.

What started as a quick fix became a life-defining turning point.

“My classmates were people I had previously discounted as geeks and misfits. But I soon realised I was a geek and a misfit,” he admitted, adding that he had finally found “his people”.

Ford described discovering a sense of belonging and a newfound courage through acting.

“I began to find myself onstage, pretending to be someone else,” he said, explaining how performing gave him a freedom he had never felt before.

After years of struggling in small roles and carpentry jobs, everything changed when he was cast as Han Solo in Star Wars.

Looking back, Blade Runner actor urged students to embrace every opportunity and take risks.
